Resumen En el presente artículo adoptamos el punto de vista de la Etnopragmática como marco metodológico que nos permite interpretar estrategias lingüísticas a través de su relación con ciertos aspectos culturales que motivan el uso de tales estrategias. En concreto, nos proponemos abordar la relación que existe entre los guiones culturales españoles y las formas de tratamiento nominales de afecto (vocativos de cariño) usadas en el español peninsular. Los guiones culturales parecen una herramienta muy adecuada para explicitar las premisas socioculturales (...) que subyacen a las interpretaciones que hacemos de las funciones que ejercen los vocativos en la cortesía española. Vamos a centrarnos sobre todo en la relación entre los guiones culturales típicamente españoles tales como “expresividad”, “halagar a otro”, “dirigirse a otros con cariño” y “ser amistoso”, así como en los vocativos de cariño alma, vida, cielo y cariño. Para la explicitación, por un lado, del contenido semántico de los vocativos, y, por el otro, de los valores culturales que subyacen a su uso, se aplicará el método de análisis semántico-pragmático desde la perspectiva de la Metalengua Semántica Natural (NSM). I analyze the linguistic picture of the Portuguese emotion saudade, roughly “nostalgia,” in an attempt to show its cultural significance and contradict the view that nostalgia is a marginal feeling, deprived of any practical function.

ABSTRACTWhat conditions must be satisfied if a group is to count as having a justified belief? Jennifer Lackey has recently argued that any adequate account of group justification must be sensitive to both the evidence actually possessed by enough of a group's operative members as well as the evidence those members should have possessed. I first draw attention to a range of objections to Lackey's specific view of group justification and a range of concrete case intuitions any plausible view of (...) group justification must explain. I then offer an alternative view of group justification where the basic idea is that group justification is a matter of groups responsibly responding to their total evidence. This view both avoids the problems facing Lackey's account and also explains the relevant concrete case intuitions. (shrink)

[This papers explores a novel case for the normativity of knowledge for belief – something that is compatible with the knowledge/factual awareness distinction I've explored elsewhere.] There are two different kinds of enkratic principles for belief: evidential enkratic principles and normative enkratic principles. It’s frequently taken for granted that there’s not an important difference between them. But evidential enkratic principles are undermined by considerations that gain no traction at all against their normative counterparts. The idea that such an asymmetry exists (...) between evidential and normative enkratic principles is surprising all on its own. It is also something that calls out for explanation. Similarly, the considerations that undermine evidential enkratic principles also undermine certain narrow-scope evidential principles. This too generates explanatory questions. I show how a knowledge-first view of rationality can easily address these explanatory questions. Thus we have one more reason to put knowledge first in [some areas of] epistemology. (shrink)

In this paper, we argue that several recent ‘wide’ perspectives on cognition (embodied, embedded, extended, enactive, and distributed) are only partially relevant to the study of cognition. While these wide accounts override traditional methodological individualism, the study of cognition has already progressed beyond these proposed perspectives towards building integrated explanations of the mechanisms involved, including not only internal submechanisms but also interactions with others, groups, cognitive artifacts, and their environment. The claim is substantiated with reference to recent developments in the (...) study of “mindreading” and debates on emotions. We claim that the current practice in cognitive (neuro)science has undergone, in effect, a silent mechanistic revolution, and has turned from initial binary oppositions and abstract proposals towards the integration of wide perspectives with the rest of the cognitive (neuro)sciences. Este artículo propone estudiar la relación que hay entre filosofía y literatura para Deleuze y Guattari. La tesis de central muestra que se debe captar el diferencial justo donde ambas, filosofía y literatura están conectadas, a saber, en el acontecimiento. Por el tratamiento que cada una tiene del acontecimiento, resulta que ambas posibilitan, a su modo, nuevos cambios en la vida de los humanos. En la primera parte se expone la concepción del arte y de la filosofía, a partir del (...) bloque de sensación y del concepto. En la segunda parte, se expone la particularidad de la creación literaria respecto del lenguaje, la escritura, el sentido y el acontecimiento. En la tercera sección se precisa que la línea de fuga completa, en términos temporales, el acontecimiento en la literatura. La cuarta y última parte presenta el diferencial entre filosofía y literatura, para mostrar los derroteros hacia la relación con la filosofía política. (shrink)

The basing demand on doxastic justification is a widely held and highly intuitive dogma of contemporary epistemology. In Silva [2015, AJP], I argued that the dialectical significance of this dogma is severely limited by our lack of independent grounds for endorsing it. Oliveira [2015, AJP] sought to defend the basing demand on doxastic justification. Here I explain why Oliveira’s attempted defense of the basing demand misses its mark. I also briefly suggest that there is an alternative way of defending (...) the basing demand. The alternative way is reconciliatory: it shows that most epistemologists may have been right to insist on such a demand, but perhaps still wrong to treat it as a dialectically powerful tool in the assessment of certain substantive epistemological theories. This text investigates some difficulties that Semantic Externalism presents for the idea of “self-knowledge” and “first person authority”. I would like to defend that those difficulties originate mainly from the fact that externalist arguments often fall back on mental experiments construed in the perspective of an omniscient narrator. I believe that “self-knowledge” and “first person authority” should be thought of not from the viewpoint of epistemology, but our normal practical capacities to evaluate, ponder, criticize, judge our thoughts, attitudes and actions, (...) especially when we want to give proof, plan something, talk with other people, justify, explain, in short, when we want to offer reasons. Resumen En su recepción del Concilio Vaticano II la Iglesia latinoamericana -focalizada en el problema de la pobreza-, tomó distancia de la teología del desarrollo planteada en Gaudium et spes y de la antropología subyacente, sea soslayando este concepto como expresión de la ideología “desarrollista”, sea neutralizando su relevancia a través de la expansión indefinida de su significado, y en todos los casos subordinándolo a la idea y el objetivo de la liberación. Pero su visión unilateral de la pobreza, que (...) interpreta como consecuencia virtualmente exclusiva de las “estructuras de pecado”, lleva inevitablemente a una visión maniquea de la vida social entendida en términos de antagonismo de clases, y empuja por su propia lógica a la acción revolucionaria. Al mismo tiempo, pasa por alto el desafío decisivo para derrotar la pobreza, que no es únicamente la mejor distribución de la riqueza sino también y ante todo su creación. En esto consiste el desarrollo económico, fenómeno moderno pero posibilitado por la capacidad de iniciativa e invención característica del ser humano como imagen de Dios. Mientras los caminos de liberación preconizados por la teología de la liberación y la teología del pueblo han fracasado de modo inapelable, el sistema económico, político y cultural que Michael Novak denominara “capitalismo democrático” es el único que ha demostrado y sigue demostrando capacidad efectiva para liberar las energías creadoras de la sociedad, permitiendo a los pobres prosperar y convertirse en artífices de su propio destino.After the Second Vanean Council, the theology of “development” presented by Gaudium et spes was overlooked in the Latín American Church in favor of the concept of "Uberalion”. Under-lying this option lay a unilateral vision of povery, conceived exclusively as the outcome of the “structures o/sin”. This diagnosis fostered class struggle and revolutionary action, while providing no clue as to how to overcome poverty through the creation of wealth. A more adequate approach should seek for institutional arrangements that provide conditions for both Beration and development. The social system of “democratic capitalism” is the only one capable of generating true economic development, making it possible for its citizens to display their creative energy and become protagonists of their own destiny. Nos sumus Romani, qui fuimus ante Rudini, “We who once were Rudians are now Romans”. One of the most known in the Annals of Quintus Ennius, this fragment explicitly refers to the citizenship granted to the poet, probably in the year 184 BC, one of the dates accepted as terminus post quem for the beginning of the composition of his epic poem. Even in other fragments, although less explicitly, Ennius shows this sense of belonging, as he calls himself a Roman, (...) besides being the bard to Rome’s res gestae. By means of a combined study of these fragments, this text aims to analyze the image the poet creates of himself as a Roman citizen within the Annals and, therefore, how his persona is self-represented. The composition of nitrogen-doped hydrogenated amorphous carbon films grown in a magnetically confined rf plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition system has been determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and compared with that determined using a combination of elastic recoil detection analysis, Rutherford back-scattering and nuclear reaction analysis. The importance of nitrogen doping or 'incorporation' in hydrogenated amorphous carbon films is discussed in relation to the significant variation in the sp 2 -to-sp 3 ratio that takes place. At 7 at.% N in the (...) a-C : H matrix, a critical change in the microstructure is observed, which governs the resulting mechanical, optical and electronic properties. Finally, the correlation between the sp 2 and sp 3 fractions determined by a non-destructive method of obtaining the bond fractions and by electron-energy-loss spectroscopy is discussed, with a view to evaluating accurately the sp 2 fraction in a-C : H : N films. O crescente desenvolvimento das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC) vem trazendo mudanças significativas nas tarefas realizadas no cotidiano. O presente estudo tem como objetivo identificar como a inclusão digital pode favorecer o empoderamento, a qualidade de vida e o bem-estar das pessoas. Constitui uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada em bases de dados científicas. Como critérios de inclusão, optou-se por artigos publicados nos últimos 10 anos (2011 – 2020), em português, inglês e espanhol. O levantamento bibliográfico localizou 47 artigos, (...) dentre os quais nove atenderam aos critérios de inclusão e foram analisados. Os resultados indicaram que a inclusão digital está positivamente associada à qualidade de vida, e essa a índices mais elevados de educação, saúde e segurança econômica. Identificou-se também fatores limitantes ao empoderamento das mulheres e idosos. (shrink)

The author wants to focus on the possible relation between kerygmatic preaching and the Liturgical Year with a view to the Initiation to Christian Life. Based on Church documents, the author underlies initially what Kerygma is and then its relation with the first time of Initiation to Christian Life proposed in catechumenate style, the pre-catechumenate, issuing guidelines as to the interlocutors, length and content of this initial time. He shows that the Liturgical Year is a possible route to the first (...) preaching. Finally, he concludes that the kerygmatic preaching that follows the rhythm of the Liturgical Year encourages the awakening of faith and adhesion to Jesus Christ. (shrink)

Conhecer estes usos e suas implicações no âmbito da ação docente constitui o objetivo primeiro deste trabalho. As ações cotidianas exigem (...) de cada ser um esforço em uma determinada direção. No processo educativo isso não é diferente. Ao estudar a filosofia bergsoniana, buscando uma aproximação com o campo da educação escolar, nos vimos diante de algumas interrogações que se constituíram provocações para esta escrita: De que esforço falamos ao falar da educação? Que relação existe entre esforço intelectual e inteligência? Qual o peso dos diferentes tipos de esforços na experiência temporal docente? Como entender o esforço como presença na ação pedagógica? Estes são alguns dos questionamentos que perpassam esse estudo que tem como aporte teórico a filosofia bergsoniana. Assim, ao pensar o esforço como presença na experiência temporal docente, pensamos em uma experiência considerada enquanto duração, movimento, fluxo contínuo, trabalho constante, no qual o esforço, nas mais variadas matizes possibilite ao pensamento transitar entre diferentes planos de consciência. Entendendo que os processos de aprender e pensar exigem um certo grau de tensão, o qual estará diretamente relacionado à ação da vontade em uma direção de repetição ou mudança, de acomodação ou criação, este trabalho aponta para a presença do esforço na ação pedagógica enquanto um movimento de superação dos obstáculos e como uma forma de apropriação da ação como iniciativa consciente e criativa. A Abordagem Interdisciplinar é relevante, porque é constitutiva da condição e do desejado desenvolvimento humano, uma vez que parece não haver nenhum fenômeno genuinamente físico, químico ou biológico, porquanto todos estão entrelaçados ou são interdependentes. Por isso, o objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre a relevância dessa Abordagem considerando a elaboração de uma proposta de atividade para a Educação Básica contemplando a Física. Trata-se de um extrato da experiência de preparação do professor-candidato-pesquisador-autor para um concurso público destinado ao provimento de (...) cargo integrante da carreira de magistério superior. Em linhas gerais, a proposta apresentada envolve a resolução do problema, “Como ocorre a digestão?”, o que pode: estimular a pesquisa e o pensamento criativo dos envolvidos; auxiliar cada estudante a dominar processos de reflexão e aprendizagem com relativa autonomia, criticidade e de modo interdisciplinar. O artigo trata da defesa de um ensino de filosofia e de uma atividade filosófica que se constituem em conjunto e como instrumento para interpretação e transformação da realidade concreta. Estabeleceremos uma relação direta com a noção de filosofia da práxis em Marx e com sua bem conhecida Tese 11, assim como com a Pedagogia Histórico Crítica intencionando a proposta de uma atividade filosófica como instrumento de interpretação e transformação da ordem social burguesa.

O presente artigo tem como finalidade apresentar um panorama geral acerca da realidade pastoral da região metropolitana de Campinas. Como todos os grandes centros urbanos, Campinas exibe uma condição bastante complexa, repleta de contradições, belezas e desafios. Jesus, como homem histórico, sensível e inserido nas realidades de seu tempo, respondeu também às situações de sua época e nos dá pistas para respondermos de modo satisfatório aos fiéis de nosso tempo. Neste artigo, para a atividade eclesial diante de tais realidades metropolitanas, (...) são enumeradas sugestões, assumidas em nosso sétimo Plano de Pastoral Orgânica da Arquidiocese, no que diz respeito às atuações de pastorais, movimentos e outros organismos. Dessa forma, visamos, na práxis de Jesus de Nazaré, tornar os pobres protagonistas de suas vidas no exercício da evangelização, na realidade pastoral em que vivemos. (shrink)

The article examines some Greek terms in relation to the moral values of ancient Greece. The ethical tradition, generally composed of authors who were not exactly professional philosophers, supplied basic and abundant material for the elaboration of platonic ethics. When dealing with the ancient ethics, it is essential to determine the value and the semantic complexity of the more important values (“competitive” and “collaborative” or “peaceful”) together with the respective implications: the axiologic terms have deeply diverse criteria of application, and (...) the criteria of application of the most important terms reflect beyond doubt and, at the same time, reveal the conception of life of the society in its totality and, therefore, the visions concerning the notion of happiness and good life. A presente Comunicação pretende analisar comparativamente alguns aspectos da definição de modernidade e pós-modernidade e sua aplicabilidade na análise do contexto religioso brasileiro. Partindo de autores como Giddens e Bauman, desenvolvemos a contextualização de suas teorias para uma realidade eminentemente européia. Depois, com autores como Canclini, Mariano e Prandi, dentre outros, que analisaram o contexto latino americano e, principalmente, brasileiro, procurou-se delinear o erro em se considerar que os conceitos de modernidade e pós-modernidade cabem à análise do cenário religioso brasileiro (...) irrestritamente, como se este cenário fosse equivalente ao europeu, lugar no qual esses conceitos surgiram e foram delineados.
